Demonstration Office Space

Landivar & Associates was contracted to provide Design/Build services for our clients’ demonstration office space. For the project GSA requested the space to be reconfigured to increase densification and better support its current tenant, while also demonstrating the space finishes for an upcoming project.

The implemented design integrated approximately 6,000 square feet of office space, a large conference room, teaming areas, systems furniture, and demountable partitions. The construction work took place in an occupied space and consisted of mechanical HVAC systems reconfiguration, a fire alarm system, electrical work, and tele/cabling installation.

Landivar & Associates updated the schedules weekly and reviewed all milestone activities for utility shutdowns and major deliveries during design/construction meetings. The team also ensured that all the parties involved were aware of current activities and integrated any modification the owner requested. The group also worked closely with the facility’s management teams to limit tenant inconvenience and to reduce any rescheduling.

Landivar & Associates also ensured all materials and overall labor was in strict compliance with the constructions documents, specifications and approved submittals. Weekly visits were conducted and owner representatives, architects, engineers and the superintendent walked the space together during these visits where they discussed field specific issues, deficiencies, and all corrective action that was required.
